I just discovered this gem of an aircraft today! Absolutely phenomenal. Took her out on 2 VOR, NDB/ADF flights and its just a step above most aircraft the sim gives you. The fact it has a rudamentary AutoPilot and all the Nav features you need, it allows for some great journeys. Wish i had found it earlier. Now time to sit with a coffee and see it flown properly 😅 thanks Jon

I'm not huge on system detail but in VR this plane is unuseable. When you look out the side of the window glass the view is soft focus and not clear (confirmed by others on the MSFS forum) I raised this issue with inibuilds and was told "nothing we can do" No more inibuilds aircraft for me. I wanted to love thiis plane but no joy.

Warbirds in MSFS2020 ? Flying Iron is your friend. I have all four of their fighters, and love them.

Im a bit late in getting MSFS and watching your channel but enjoying both, you taught me how to fly the Cessna but now want to have a go at the king air. Have you done an auto pilot tutorial on it. By the way your dads rig is unbelivable.

Awesome. Great use of the HSI on an ILS. I flew a lot on IFR. Just be very close, but don't sweat being exact. I wish I had this level of simulation in my Instrument training.

Nice review! I bought this when it was released, but have not used it much, due to the rather poor flight model. But the Flight Replicas P-40N, which I recently bought, is flying much better and is very beautifully modeled!

Even though it is cheap and looks pretty nice, yet another developer just don't give a damn about if the runway lights are correct or not...Not sure what I should think of that. But apart from that. Nice looking airport!

When you say "nose boss" do you mean spinner? The last person I heard refering to a nose boss was a plastic surgeon....

NOTE WELL..... DO NOT DO AUTO START ON THE C-130 HERCY BIRD. In the auto start the initial first main Gen switch is not turned on and the two inverters are not turned on as the right sided one controls cockpit gauges. So CS still didn't disappoint with russian quality control . Short story..LEARN THE RAMP START 😂

I have been watching your video for a while now and really enjoy your content. I noticed you trimmed out the aircraft for staight and level flight. where I have persistent problem where aircraft fails to maintain straight and level flight, instead spiraling uncontrollably towards the ground. Impossible to fly straight and level without constant inputs Changing controllers (4) had no effect, reinstalling the game made no difference, even a windows refresh made no difference. No help that I have not tried inthe forums Any help would be great to look what to change / check etc.

Very nice review Jonathan. I've owned this plane since it was initially released. I'm a little ashamed to admit that I haven't flown it yet. It does like absolutely gorgeous, ❤ and I really should pull it out of the Microsoft hanger and enjoy flying her. 😊

I truly hope that A2A brings their P-40 to MSFS20 someday if not MSFS20 then I hope for MSFS24.

If you regularly fly the Flying Iron birds you quickly realise how weak this P40 is tbh. It's ended up as a hanger queen for me. Luckily it was only $3 on some crazy sale when I got it.

Hey, real RJ pilot here, cool video nice to see the rj flown. Noticed a few things. Be careful with wording. "rnav app is an approach with no glide path" thats incorrect an rnav app conducted with lnav has no glide path with it. (other than advisory vnav which cant be used 0c and below) however, Rnav app conducted with LPV does have a glide path and the NG rj can shoot LPV. Also if visual Flight directors must be deselected for an rnav lnav app no lower then mda irl we would not set the tgt alt to 0 we would actually set it to 100 higher than where we are. IRL it will descent (this is bugged in aerosoft) lastly are goal is a cda (Consent decent angle) IE Want to hold close to constant Feet per minute, on the chart there should be a point that you can calculate or it may even tell you when to start down. if arpt at sea level usually 3000 feet 10nm back start 800 FPM down fully configured. the jep charts will have the right point start descending. hope this helps.

For a Black Square product, you should know by now to at least skim through the manual so you are familiar with the different sections, so when you have a question, you can quickly go read and remedy the issue. This video felt like I was going to buy a car and the salesman had never been in a car before.

Just purchased and is a real challenge. Note the altitudes of some and the winds can be brutal. For greater challenge use a taildragger, Savage Gravel for example. Some great scenery features. Note the rocks at many (some were floating ) and the background textures (Bing data) were bit disappointing. Haven’t explored all yet but not sure it is good value for money. Edit: i was flying in VR and textures may have been reduced to maintain FPS.

I love the plane but it's _really_ strongly affected by any Wind for me. Having read the FAQ JF suggests setting the turbulence assistance to LOW or MID. Have you guys done this? The behaviour I get with all assistance settings on hard/realistic ist vastly different from whats shown in the video - my little plane ist getting thrown around like in a severe storm, altough I'm on clear skies preset (1kt Wind + 1kt gust). I can only enjoy flying it with the Wind completely disabled :-(

Thanks for this primer on the new UNS-1 nav computer. I have to say I think the "old" Working Title CJ4 computer was more intuitive and easier. This new system has me trying to figure out how to fly an RNAV route and I really don't understand how to do VNAV on the 146. I will take a look at your playlist on the 146. All of these videos are superb so thanks for helping us grasp this difficult but very appealing older airplane. I flew on this aircraft many years ago under the Crossair livery. It was a wonderful stubby little quad-jet that proved to be highly adaptable.

Thank Jonathan for streaming the pack. The pack was created with Challenge in mind. You do need a capable aircraft. Kitfox, DoubleEnder, Zenith and the Wilga to name a few. The airstrips are all STOL landing zone for that reason and are meant to push people to the limits with their STOL skills. This pack goes hand in hand with all my other packs in the area, which reduced the gaps in flight time. I am surprised you've never flown here before. Idaho is the area with the most concerntrated area of backcountry strips in the world, very popular irl with small recreational aircraft, 4x4 and dirt bikes. Great lil stream btw and thanks again for streaming it. Lots of fun.
